Insulation Rebate Program

To qualify for Wahkiakum PUD rebates all projects must obtain pre-approval before installing any energy efficiency measures.

Wahkiakum PUD is helping its customers reduce their monthly electric bills and make their homes and businesses more comfortable through our weatherization program. According to ENERGY STAR, sealing and insulating the “envelope” or “shell” of your building— its outer walls, ceiling, windows, doors, and floors — can often be a cost effective way to improve energy efficiency and comfort. Under its Weatherization Program Wahkiakum PUD may be able to pay a portion of the cost to insulate your electrically-heated residence or commercial business.

REBATES AND PRE-QUALIFICATION

Pre-qualification from Wahkiakum PUD is required to be eligible for all utility rebate programs. Installation contractor must be licensed, insured and bonded to work in Washington State (self-install does not qualify for rebate); visit WA State Department of Labor & Industries or contact Wahkiakum PUD to confirm contractor eligibility.

View our Residential Insulation Pre-qualification Application or Commercial Insulation Pre-qualification Application for step-by-step program guidelines and current rebate rates. Rebate amount cannot exceed the total cost of the project.

Before installing any residential weatherization measure customers should view BPA's Weatherization Best Practices Field Guide (updated 4.2022) which contains the qualifying residential requirements but also provides step-by-step instructions for common practices. Utility weatherization program requirements are included and highlighted in blue text. By reading this document, you will learn how to insulate, perform air sealing, and replace windows on a home.
